Cosmetic Cases

One of our patients once told us, “thank you for giving me my smile back”. Since then, we realized that our office does much more than just dentistry.

Case #1 – Porcelain Veneers
Case #2 – Chairside Veneers (or cosmetic bonding)
Case #3 – Whitening
Case #4 – Gingival Recontouring
Case #5 – Crowns
Case #6 – Tooth-Colored Fillings

Case #1 - Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are a great choice for those patients who have badly chipped, pitted or damaged front teeth. Veneers cover the front and sides of anterior teeth with minimal drilling and preparation. We can achieve dramatic results, such as in this case. This patient is now smiling at everyone!

An added feature is direct composite temporary veneers to make that two weeks between preps and delivery of you new veneers fly by.

Case # 2 - Chairside Veneers/ Direct Composite Veneers (Bonding)

Sometimes a patient’s age or other circumstances dictate a cosmetic makeover using composite resins bonded directly to the teeth. This allows a single appointment to restore cosmetic flaws or blemishes. While not as long-lasting as lab processed porcelain veneers, they are far less invasive and often require little or no prepping of the underlying tooth.

Case #3 - In-Office Whitening

We know you want the brightest, whitest smile possible when you go out in public. Here at Anaheim Hills Dental Arts we offer the latest in tooth whitening. In about an hour, you can achieve a brighter, whiter smile while sitting in our comfortable massaging chairs.

Case #4 - Gingival Recontouring

Sometimes, especially on younger cosmetic patients, the gum tissue covers a lot of the natural surface of a tooth. Gingival recontouring is usually performed a few weeks before a veneer prep date and yields a much more attractive “grown up” smile.

Case #5 – Crowns

Broken teeth, large failing fillings, root canals or other calamities can sometimes make another filling an impossible solution. When this happens, the full coverage crown provides the only solution. The failing restoration is removed, the decay cleaned out and eliminated, a buildup may be used to stabilize the weak tooth structure left, then the preparation gives our ceramist the space needed to place porcelain on a coping of yellow gold. The resulting crown is beautiful as well as functional and is seated at a follow-up appointment.

Case #6 – Tooth-Colored Fillings

Cavities today are filled with the latest in dental composites – tooth colored fillings. On previously unrestored teeth, this allows us to use the smallest and most conservative restoration. On a previously restored tooth such as the one pictured, it allows the doctor to remove your old failing silver-mercury amalgam fillings and replace them with natural looking restorations.
