Anaheim Hills Dental Arts doctors and team love to see people smile! That is why your dental health is our primary concern. Great care is given to choosing a team that will focus and concentrate on providing you with the quality you deserve.
We continue and maintain our focus on quality dental care by having monthly meetings. We also attend various continuing education conferences given by dental associations and specialists.
Karen – Office Administrator
Karen has been part of the Anaheim Hills Dental Arts team since 2003. She oversees and assists with the daily business associated with our dental office.
Karen’s education is focused on the business end of Dentistry and Healthcare. She has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management.
Karen loves the dental field because “we get to give people a reason to smile.” Whether it is orthodontics, veneers, or a simple filling, she believes that every patient should feel good about their experience.
When Karen is not at the office, you will find her either at the river, or riding her quad with her family. She loves being a Mom, “I have so much fun.” “I get to be a kid again.”
Avril – Financial Administrator
Avril joined the Anaheim Hills Dental Arts team in 2006 as the Financial Administrator. Avril’s expertise is assisting patients with dental treatment planning, coordinating dental insurance benefits and providing each patient with individualized attention.
Avril has been in the dental industry since 1973. She was educated in England as a Registered Dental Surgical Assistant, then in the United States as a Registered Dental Assistant. She continues to receive continuing education for her Registered Dental Assistant license.
Avril enjoys working in the dental field because she “loves seeing patients leave happy and confident because of the fabulous end result.”
In her spare time, Avril enjoys tole painting and dancing. She also enjoys early morning walks. Of course, regardless of the activity, Avril’s dog ‘Barney’ is never far away!
Sonal – Registered Dental Assistant and Front Office Assistant
Sonal has been with Dr. Writer and Dr. Tripp at Anaheim Hills Dental Arts since 2003. She loves working with all of our patients. You will see her in the Back Office assisting with General Dental and Orthodontic procedures. In the Front Office, Sonal loves talking to each and every patient. She schedules patient appointments, explains treatment with each patient, and excels at helping us all remember our six-month cleaning appointment – Thanks Sonal!
Sonal has worked in the dental field since 1994. Her favorite area of dentistry is orthodontics. “I love that I help each patient get the smile they want.” “I think of each patient as my friend; not my patient.”
When Sonal is not at the office, you will find her dining at her favorite restaurant. She is also the dedicated mother of 2 boys, who keep her constantly on the move!
Lisa – Front Office Assistant
Lisa has been with Anaheim Hills Dental Arts as a Front Office Assistant since 2006. She is currently in college to get her Bachelor’s in Speech Pathology and her Master’s in Teaching.
Lisa enjoys scheduling appointments and helping patients find a time that is perfect for them. She also loves to create a fun environment for all of the patients, which leads to a great dental experience. Lisa believes that it is “great to see all the beautiful smiles that come into our office.” “I like to see our patients’ progress towards that perfect smile they were looking for.”
When Lisa is not at work she is attending school, hanging out with friends or “hitting up the clubs” (but don’t tell her Dad, he thinks she is at the library).
Terry – Registered Dental Hygienist
Terry is an Anaheim Hills Dental Arts Hygienist. She received her hygiene certification from the Community Collage of Baltimore. When she came to California she continued her advanced hygiene training at Pasadena Community College, where she received her Extended Function Certification.
Terry’s passion is great hygiene! She enjoys educating her patients on basic and advanced dental home care. She also believes your dental visit should be fun, and not a stressful experience!
In her spare time, Terry can be found at the gym where she teaches indoor cycling and aerobics. She also loves to spend time with her son, Max, and her dogs, Herbie and Holly.
Heather – Registered Dental Hygienist
Heather is an Anaheim Hills Dental Arts Hygienist. She received her hygiene certification from Riverside Community College.
Rebecca – Registered Dental Assistant
Rebecca is Dr. Tripp’s Back Office Registered Dental Assistant. She has worked with Dr. Tripp and the Team at Anaheim Hills Dental Arts since 2006. Rebecca enjoys interacting with the patients. She especially enjoys cosmetic dentistry because “our patients leave our office with a new smile and a new life.”
Rebecca graduated from Bryman College in 2001 with her Registered Dental Assistant License and her standard and digital X-ray and coronal polishing certificate.
Rebecca loves to travel, especially to Mexico to visit her friends and family. As part of her travel memories, she collects jewelry boxes from different parts of the world. But, when she is not travelling, she loves to go out dancing. Her all-time favorite activity is spending time with her family, especially her beautiful little girl.
Marisa – Registered Dental Assistant
Marisa started working with Dr. Writer, Dr. Tripp and the Anaheim Hills Dental Arts team in 2008 as a back office dental assistant and orthodontic assistant. She graduated as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2005. She loves dentistry because she gets to work closely with each patient. Marisa likes to “give our patients the cosmetics they always dreamed about.”
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, and crocheting. She also loves going to Disneyland with her friends and family…ask her anything about Disneyland, she knows it.
Yolanda – Orthodontic Assistant
Yolanda has been with Anaheim Hills Dental Arts since 2009 as an Orthodontic Assistant. You will see her in the back orthodontic bay on Saturdays.
She graduated from The Bryman Institute with her Registered Dental Assistant degree in 1992. Yolanda enjoys orthodontics because “I love to interact with our patients.”
When Yolanda is not at the office she enjoys spending time at home relaxing and enjoying a good home-cooked meal.
Bonnie – Orthodontic Assistant
Bonnie has been with Dr. Writer and the Anaheim Hills Dental Arts team since 2000. She assists Dr. Writer with orthodontic patients on Saturdays. She enjoys orthodontics because she “transforms a crooked smile into a beautiful one.”
Bonnie has been in the dental field for 20 years. She is drawn to dentistry because she loves “the fun that a good smile can bring.”
Bonnie enjoys music, camping and spending time with her family. Her 6 children keep her on the run!
Jacqueline – Orthodontic Assistant
Jacqueline began working with Dr. Writer and the Anaheim Hills Dental Arts team in 2010. You will see her assisting Dr. Writer with orthodontic patients. She loves working with all of our patients, especially children.
Jacqueline received her Certified Dental Assistant degree in 2003 from the Minuteman Institute in Massachusetts. Then, when she came to California, she received her Registered Dental Assistant license in 2005. She likes orthodontics because a “smile is the first thing people see.” “When your teeth are straight, you smile more!”
When Jacqueline is not at the office, she loves to snow board and play soccer. She also loves sushi and a good movie!
Travis - Sterilization Technician
Our standard of clinical sterilization at Anaheim Hills Dental Arts is so high that we actually have one person who does sterilization all day long. Travis is in charge of coordinating our state-of-the-art sterilization center and setting up and taking down the operator between patients. It takes a detailed-oriented person to do this well and he meets all expectations. Travis is a student at Long Beach City College, where he is studying to be a Firefighter/Paramedic. He recently received his EMT Certificate and is ready for any emergency that arises!
